Books and Miscellaneous
£7.50

A seminal book based on the 1974 BBC TV series “The Gun” which consisted of ten, fifteen minute programmes covering the development of the gun. Each chapter in the book covers one of the episodes with evocative titles such as “The Great Leveller”, “Riflemen Form” and “Accurate at a Mile”.
Christopher Roads was then the Deputy Director of the Imperial War Museum and also the author of “The British soldiers Firearm 1850 – 1864”.
This interesting and singular work was what inspired me to shoot at a thousand yards and stimulated my interest in collecting, shooting and researching firearms.
I have a few second hand copies of this book, so when they are gone they are gone.

Price £7.50 plus postage.

The current edition of this classic reloading manual is my first recommendation for anyone looking for a manual.
Not that I’d recommend you only use one reloading data source as cross checking is good reloading practice, but if you could only have one then this would be it.
Lyman make reloading and casting equipment therefore they don’t have a dog in the race when it comes to data so it encompasses a wide range of powders and bullets. As well as loads for jacketed bullets it also has the best selection of cast boolit loads in any manual.
Lyman’s copy says:
“For more than a century, the Ideal and then Lyman handbooks have been the reloaders’ core resource for proven reloading data. Lyman handbooks have always used the widest selection of cartridges, bullets and powder from all the major manufacturers. This 50th Edition continues our tradition of being the only data source using multiple brands throughout our data.

Features and Highlights:
• New Cartridges Included: 17 Hornet, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5-284, 26 Nosler, 28 Nosler, 300 Blackout, 300 RCM, 338 RCM, 450 Bushmaster, 458 SOCOM, 50 Beowulf
• New Full colour Edition – The 50th Anniversary edition is our first reloading handbook produced in full colour

Feature Articles by Top Gun Writers and Firearm Industry Experts

I won’t argue with that.
